Serves 4
Ingrédients
- 6 slices of bread
- 1 package (300 g) frozen or 1 bag fresh spinach
- 8 oz (250 g) Mozzarella cheese
- 3 eggs
- 1½ cups (375 ml) milk
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) dry mustard powder or curry powder
- pinch of pepper
- 1/2 cup (200 g) cooked ham, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
Mode d'emploi
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Grease a 13 x 9 inch (33 x 23 cm) pan.
- Cut bread into cubes.
- Defrost or wash and chop spinach. (Do not wash frozen spinach.)
- Grate cheese.
- Line bottom of pan with bread cubes.
- In a bowl, mix together eggs, milk, cheese, spices and spinach.
- Pour mixture over bread cubes.
- Sprinkle ham and onion over spinach mixture.
- Cover baking dish with aluminium foil.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove aluminium foil and continue to bake another 30 minutes or until mixture is set.
